Как этот механизм работает? Я опять напомню Аверинцева: раньше говорили не просто "культура", а cultura mentis, возделывание ума. То есть, все эти книги, фильмы, эстрада, керамика, язык жестов и правила поведения за столом - все это возделыает умы особенным образом, вследствие чего люди ведут себя так или иначе, а народы по своим обыкновениям отличаются друг от друга. Люди склонны "не замечать" своей культуры, как не замечают воздуха, которым дышат - по крайней мере, если его качество резко не изменится. Привычное воспринимается как естественное. Так вот, может ли вся культура в целом быть нарциссической? Да запросто, я думаю. Если она транслирует нарциссические паттерны и воспроизводит их из поколения в поколение, то это оно. Какие же это паттерны? Все те же самые, что транслируют ребенку нарциссические родители: сам по себе ты никто и ничто, ты производная от нас, ты интересен и хорош лишь постольку, поскольку выполняешь требуемые от тебя функции, при этом неважно, нахваливают они или ругают: в обоих случаях оценка сильно расходится с реальностью. В нарциссической культуре функции родительской фигуры отводится тем, кто олицетворяет власть: батюшке царю, государю императору, актуальному Вождю и Учителю, а иногда и всему народу - но не реальному народу, который очень даже разный бывает, а его грандиозному нарциссическому двойнику, который всегда идеален и всегда прав. Носитель культуры, раненый сознанием своего ничтожества, начинает фантазировать о своем величии, мысленно сливается воедино с той грандиозной фигурой, которая олицетворяет власть, и готово дело: перед нами нация, глубоко пораженна нарциссизмом. (Кстати, мне эти соображения пришли в голову при взгляде, в первую очередь, на японскую культуру, а потом уже...) Конечно же, никакой культур-мультур-трегер в здравом уме не пытается эти нарциссические паттерны заложить в голову следующим поколениям сознательно. Как, впрочем, и нарциссический родитель. Эта херня заводится в культуре, когда основным ее ретранслятором перестает быть собственно народ, передающий младшим поколениям бабушкины сказки у очага, и становятся специальные всякие люди вроде монахов, ученых, чиновников и всяких там отщепенцев, из которых не вышло ни то, ни другое, ни третье, а вышли всякие там ваганты, менестрели и жонглеры. Причем это условие необходимое, но недостаточное. Вторая компонента - наличие рядом более высокоразвитой культуры, при взгляде на которую ылитка начинает сравнивать себя с ней и проникаться комплексом неполноценности. Взять тех же японцев. Любой японский книжник эпохи Нара, приникая к китайской культуре (а к какой еще было приникать?), вынужден был горестно констатировать, что по сравнению с китайцами японцы третий день, как с пальмы слезли. И сам он по сравнению с китайцем, даже неграмотным крстьянином, отстой. Потому что китаец от рождения причастен своей неизеримо более высокой культуре, а японец ей должен еще учиться. Его дальнейшие действия? Объявить, что епонский норот, несмотря на то, что может, и не изобрел письменность, колесницу и кузнечное дело - но зато происходит непосредственно от богов, в отличие от китайцев, у которых даже императоры выходят то из крестьян, то из наемников. И поэтому культура у епонского норота, хоть и не восходит к Ши-Цзину и И-цзину, все-таки еще круче: она восходит к самим богам и даже самую первую танку сложил бог Суса-но-о, а уж потом научил людей слагать песни и варить сакэ, вотЪ. При этом сам книжник - никто и ничто. Но как частичка епонского норота и подданный епонского императора, он причастен к их величию и божественной славе. И, заряженный вот этим настроем, книжник берется за перо и принимается креативить. Либо же со страшной силой СПГСить, изучая творчество норота. Ну и как вы думаете, чем он зарядит свой креатив?.."
